Casa Flamenco Tequila

One of my proudest moments in logo design and brand formulation. A project that was initially concieved as a potential product launch back in 2020 with the idea to produce one of the finest Mexican Tequila and take it to the Far-Eastern markets of Singapore and Thailand.  Facing a harsh landsacpe of beverage competition, this required a brand like no other – we think this was achieved!

The main logotype was styled by hand and took many hours of refinement before having its reflective gold appearance applied. Every micro-element of this logo was painstakingly worked on from its flow, balance and structure. Feedback from those that were presented the logo during pre-launch phases was incredibly powerful – with this as a foundation, the journey had started and a striking new brand was born.

The main logo and marketing collateral formed an entire branding campaign – some of which will be viewable soon on ‘Everything Else’ in the portfolio.

Casa Flamenco Tequila has its launch event at the Marriott Hotel, Bangkok Thailand on 6 June 2024. We wish all those involved the very best.

RHEA Group & ESA

Studio67 was commissioned to develop this project logo for RHEA Group who are the prime contractor of a consortium including Solenix and were recently awarded a service support contract for two ESA divisions within the Earth Observation Direcorate in ESRIN.

The project will focus on the adoption and operationalisation of EO Exploitation Platform plus the use of new technologies in the EO domain. This exciting new project and service contract will start in August 2020 and will last for two years with the option to be extended for additional 3 years up to July 2025.

RHEA Group

During the summer of 2019 Studio67 was originally invited to develop the branding and logo identity for a RHEA Group’s internal annual awards event to recognise outstanding employee achievement throughout the previous year. This identity has been used to reach over 750 staff members of RHEA Group. To date, the awards programme continues to utilise and expand on this orignal theme with every peice of collateral being developed in two languages (English and French).

The main logo (shown) and marketing collateral was also required in English. To see more of this project, please see ‘Everything Else’ in the portfolio.

Westcott Centres

I was very proud to be a key part in the new branding of this innovative new, 2018 project…Not one but four individual enterprises based at the Westcott Venture Park, Oxfordshire.

My involvement included full branding of all four sites with logo identitiies to embrace a family-style, supporting detailed brand guideline manuals, various items of collateral through exterior design to office buildings and signage. The icon used within this identity was designed to symbolise growth, empowerment, positivity and progression whilst harnessing a subliminal ‘w’ inside a planetary symbol. This element of the logo changed colour across the remaining three identities.

Inkpen Cricket Club (I.C.C.)

Ask anyone who lives in a countryside village and the general feeling will be that its all about getting involved with the local community – helping comities, groups, clubs and friends. One of the first projects early 2020 was to create a logo identity for the local cricket club ahead of its mini tour in the spring/summer*. It was also required for embroidery onto sports shirts once approved.

Inkpen C.C was originally formed soon after the war but with no existing identity, I felt full respect was due to create a smart and established logo was created. Answers on a postcard (or email) for anyone that can translate the Latin strapline.

*Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this event was cancelled and re-scheduled for 2021.

Keinton Environmental Group

In early 2021, I was asked by a village in Somerset, Keinton Mandeville, to create a logo for their recently formed environmental group, namely Keinton Environmental Group (K.E.G).

Conducting some basic research of the village, we discovered the village is the home of the Blue Lias stone, has a beautiful little church, and typical for most Somerset villages, beautiful landscapes and wildlife. We wanted to create a logo that reflected the heritage and fabric of the village, as well provide the aims and ambitions of the environment group. I think this logo encompasses tradition, beauty and ambition.

ArmourLux

Branding a totally new product ahead of market announcement is always an exciting thing to be involved in.  Couple that together with being given the opportunity to name the product too was a very special challenge. ArmourLux is a super-strong, military grade, durable and high-quality fibre optic cable – suited for outside events, concerts, film etc. ArmourLux is a unique product offered by Universal Networks Ltd.

As well as the ‘naming’ phase, we also explored, sourced and organised the ownership (on behalf of the client) for the domain name to safeguard its future as a brand. The logo shown to the right was just one of eight identities put forward for presentation.

Paws of Pangbourne

As much as I love my clients from far off places, I have a real soft spot for local businesses especially when they involve animals. PAWS of Pangbourne was just that – a local business that needed a stylish brand and identity. A project that really got my tail wagging!  🙂

PAWS are secure Paddocks located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the banks of the River Thames in Berkshire.

Velchemy Cycle Surgery

Velchemy is no ordinary bike repair/maintenance solution. It is a specialist refurbishment service for steel and aluminium road bikes of a by-gone era as well. A large number of Velchemy’s projects have focused on the Peugeot brand from 1967 to 1990.  With this inspired classic but chic company vision, Studio67 began the process  of creating a logo and brand identity to honour the nostalgic feeling of vintage cycling. Selecting typefaces that reflected these emotive feelings into a curved structure to resemble a road wheel

To crown the typographic arrangement, we created an icon that could feature independently was created from chain links forming a ‘V’ surrounded by a 24-toothed chain ring.

The identity has been applied to work overalls and other garments, frame decals and vehicle livery. Velchemy’s services are by appointment only and offer those that have their velo serviced – a very unique experience which is second to none.

Intelligent Earth Institute

Studio67 was invited by Mettle Communications Ltd (a renowned PR agency in West London) to develop logo concepts for The Intelligent Earth Institute – a groundbreaking collaboration between Oxford University (the world-leader in AI, earth and social sciences) and the Satellite Applications Catapult (the national translational organization for space / geospatial data).

The Institute’s mission is to deliver transformative, planet-scale solutions, at speed. Our own design mission was to create a high-impact logo and brand that could stand the test of time and hold a key message – for this we used the iconic climate stripes as a basis which show clearly how global average temperatures have risen over nearly two centuries. We took the 170 year span of time, divided this into 17 decades and made mathematical measurements to attain the average colour for that decade. This colour average was symolised into 17 orbiting moons surrounding the Earth to form the logo.

We are incredibly proud of the result the data gave to the identity and believe it is truly original, unique and interesting whilst being corporate and powerful.

JustMoto and JM Moto Café

JustMoto are a respected and well-known apparel retailer for the motorbike fraternity. Studio67 was asked to develop a new brand in readiness and ahead of their new and modern store location at Greenham Business Park. We provided a detailed competitor analysis during the brand development along with multiple options for the logo itself.

The JustMoto logo (top) became the finalised version which was formed into various ways for use on various items of collateral, clothing, social media and signage throughout the store. The shield, with its ‘invisible-space’ typographic style, was also created to be used as a stand-alone element thus forming an easily recognised symbol to the overall brand.

In the spring of 2024, the JM Moto Café was created within the store to offer motorbike riders and customers a moment to grab a coffee, meet other bikers, grab something to eat and take a break off the road. For this, a separate identity was needed – part of the brief was “we’d like something ‘retro’”. To carry on the ‘JM’ theme, we set about researching logo and signage techniques often used in the 50’s and 60’s. Alternatives were presented together with an entire interior design campaign for the cafê itself….all in time for the JustMoto and the JM Moto Café open day! If you’re in the area and love everything ‘Moto’, be sure to pop in and see them, we think you will be impressed – with their professionalism as well as the branding! 😉

When we set up MGT as a new real estate investment manager, we were looking for a brand that reflected our core goals to be professional, bold and forward thinking in our approach. Cary immediately understood what we were looking for in a very short time frame.

Don't be fooled by cheap alternatives!

There are many online solutions for having a logo developed. However, all may not be as it seems at first glance! I’ve designed hundreds of logos but the development of them is another stage and if not done properly, will cause you problems and short-falls later on and just when you don’t need the headache.

Studio67’s logo ‘packs’ are a professional collection of various colour-way alternatives (colour, reversed and mono) giving you the confidence that you have EVERY angle covered. As standard, your logo pack will also include multiple formats (vector, jpg and png) for both online use and print. Basically, you’re in the right place right now!
